MiracleArts Presents
March's
Creative of the Month
Kaya is a high school senior, artist, actor, and aspiring elementary art teacher. In her free time, Kaya paints, draws, writes, develops art lessons, and acts. She has starred as Ophelia in Hamlet and Kaliope in She Kills Monsters. Kaya values making art that is comforting to her. Because of this, most of the art she makes involves fish. She feels a deep comfort in the peaceful life in the ocean and its serenity. Kaya is also comforted by the freedom of both impressionism and modernism. She is heavily inspired by artists like Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh.
Kaya is a creative and socialbe person. She is very passionate about educating the future generations- especially through the arts. She strongly believes in the statement "knowledge is power," and strives to help the youth learn to help make the world a better place. Kaya works in an after-school program with elementary children. She has developed many art therapy techniques whilst working there. She believes art can help people regulate their emotions in a very positive way.
Kaya is going to school next year at Century College to start her journey of becoming an art teacher. This year, she hopes to act in more plays and focus on the comfort of art rather then trying to be perfect. Kaya is delighted to be helping children change the world through art. She will try her best in striving to help educate children and teach them the power the arts have.
